There's wide uses of hex nuts to fasten 2 objects together. It is considered as part of a fastener with bolt as a partner and is usually a threaded hole. The thread secures the bolt does not loose out while a force, tension or vibration is applied to the object being fastened. Hex nut as the name says is a six sided nut and very popular and commonly used in mechanical, household and industrial hardware uses.
